Centralized all of the client’s raw material purchasing for the then newly acquired specialty chemical portfolio company, mitigated risk and reduced cost.

 

Approach

• Working with each of the specialty chemical businesses, guided purchasing managers and leadership at all plant locations globally to redefine supply chain processes.

• Ensured just-in-time delivery of raw materials, second supplier sourcing strategies and qualifications.

 

Result

• Worked with each specialty business at each plant location to reconfigure their business processes, people, and work flow to obtain more than $580MM in savings.

• Implemented specific risk mitigation strategies across the board for all specialty businesses, contributing $180MM in savings in the first year alone.
