Spotlight: Join us at the CME NASA Symposium in Denver
The 2024 CME NASA Symposium and Earth & Space Sustainability Summit is set to take place from August 18-20, 2024, in Denver, offering a packed schedule of inspirational research, industry insights, and new STEM career paths. This event, sponsored by the Polymer Chemistry Division (POLY), brings together experts from industry, academia, and government to discuss cutting-edge innovations in chemical sciences that advance human space travel and sustainability. SafeRock is honored that our CEO Shah Karim has been elected to serve as CME Co-Chair and C0-Treasurer and we are looking forward to welcoming many familiar faces at this upcoming event.
The symposium will feature several key sessions:
- Advanced Materials and NASA Day (August 18): Focusing on elevating polymer chemistry for future space missions, this session will include talks by winning teams from Stanford and TU Eindhoven
- Space Chemistry Roundtable (August 19 morning): An invitation-only session featuring experts from various sectors
- Earth & Space Sustainability Summit (August 19 afternoon): Speakers from prestigious institutions such as Northwestern University, ISS National Laboratory, NASA, Deloitte, Celanese, Northrop Grumman, and NREL will present their insights
- CME Nobel Lectures (August 20): The highlight of the symposium, featuring talks by Nobel Laureates Carolyn Bertozzi (2022) and Frances Arnold (2018), as well as Martin Keller, the 9th Director of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory
