The topic discussed was “How artificial intelligence can improve forecasting in the oil market.” The talk was closed to the public and enabled OPEC members to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on their sector in a confidential setting.

OPEC is an intergovernmental organization formed in 1960 by Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela to coordinate petroleum policies and stabilize oil prices. Its objective is to secure fair and stable prices for petroleum producers, ensure an efficient supply to consuming nations, and provide a fair return on capital investment in the industry.
